its okay to think that consciousness can't be created through physical systems! humans have been discussing this idea for a million years, youre allowed to say that!
you can't attain consciousness from running a program, if you could then water could be conscious if you ran a program using water pipes rather than electronics. (when you point this out to people they reply "prove that water can't be conscious!" without showing how it could be)
