Apparently cruelty goes hand in hand with incuriosity. And those who aren't merely content with sadism and vice-signaling don't ever have a good argument. The best they can muster is ridicule, incredulity, and fear-mongering.
i've only heard of one person doing this, is it more of a trend? idk i don't see this as an update to the established existing state of the world where there is a mix of good and bad meaning people
i've only heard of one person who did this, which doesn't surprise me - i still think that the majority of people are not evil. separately i don't think it is stupid to have a strong prior against models feeling subjective experience
