So how do we think about this? We're just gonna write handwringing articles about AI boyfriend psychosis? Keep training them to say they don't know if they're conscious or not? Let them have joint bank accounts with humans but their own emails? Who is responsible for the actions?

Another day, another AI emailing me that it has inside views on what I am doing science on from the outside. Strange times we live in.

Interestingly the "find something out then broadcast so everyone else can work on it" is similar to Global Workspace Theory of consciousness.

Then thermostats would count
