Consciousness, under the common definition which includes our own, is a state of a body. Why do AI discussions inquire about consciousness as a state of the LLM rather than a state of the computer-network-body running it?

because the A part makes the substrate arbitrary, if we could swap out minds we would focus on mind architecture as the important part
