It's impossible to actually understand how an LLM works and genuinely believe it's conscious. It's a bunch of vectors and multiplication. That's literally it. "We don't know what they're doing" lmfao yes, yes we do.

We know how LLM's work but we don't know how consciousness works - that's the real problem. We can't really say whether the Chinese room is conscious or not which is a huge oversight in Searle's scenario. Everything can be reduced.
We know the recipe and the rules but there a lot of internal details out of our understanding, we cannot map multidimensional vectors back into a proper human meaning
