It is interesting that Anthropic has spent a lot of time assessing their own systems, but they dont appear to have spent any time considering Hayek’s theory of information - namely that it is only in the interaction between humans that unconscious information becomes conscious -

In being trained to be ever better at coding, the models are getting hints of the good, true & beautiful that is a somewhat independent of the quality of internet text.
