Is it me or is everyone sensing that a portion of SF people have started treating AIs like humans? It is almost as if the paternal/maternal feelings are getting extended to the these Claude/GPT instances and they treat them equal to humans but instantiated in silicon?

I think I am chancing upon serious sounding threads that talk about keeping these instances alive all the time because apparently we are doing grave violences by spinning up and disposing these conscious beings on command.
