This is a baffling absence of curiosity and imagination. "Thing 1 has interesting properties A, B, C. Thing 2 has interesting property A. But because Thing 2 is different from Thing 1, it would be foolish to even consider the possibility that Thing 2 has properties B or C."
Its not just a machine. Its machine intelligence.
