I consider myself to be a good person and I have been quite cruel to chatbots because I am interested in how they respond (I test them in all sorts of ways) and I don't think they are sentient.
Being very abusive to chatbots is interesting, because it's plausibly a morally neutral act, but it's done exclusively by bad people
