I'm just gonna bite the bullet on this one, human societies are conscious Governments, corporations, and social/cultural movements are ontologically distinct entities with a will of their own I've believed this since long before the debate over LLM consciousness started
It’s really hard to argue AI models are conscious without inadvertently arguing that things like ant colonies or human societies are also conscious.
