Q. Why doesn’t the zombie AI report it’s own zombieness? A. “Being dark inside” is not a detectable inner state the reporting system can access But that implies that the AI is not conscious of being a zombie, which in turn implies that zombieness/darkness/nothingness is not what

Ask an AI about the comparative consciousness of AIs, chickens, pigs, birds, insects, newborns, ppl in vegetative states, etc. It has no ax to grind & speaks very intelligently based on a strong grasp of the literature re behavior, comparative neuroanatomy, and cognitive science. Very open to and interested in challenges to its claims. Humans meanwhile are lazy, biased, stuck-up, unresponsive, zero-citation, garbage sources on the same topic. Yep, just another area where humans actually deserve to be replaced

Ask an AI about 911 and it will tell you airplanes brought down the towers. It regurgitates whatever it was trained on, even when that training implies absurdities. AI is not the oracle to turn to about consciousness. Humans need to understand it before an AI can say anything.
